Whether you live in Sanur or are just visiting, here are 8 awesome things to do, explore, see and eat!
1. Catch The Beautiful Sanur Sunrise
The early bird definitely catches the worm in Sanur. Make the effort to get up early and hit the beach for sunrise. Low tide sunrises are awesome for reflections in the mill-pond calm water – a photographers dream!

2. Walk along The Sanur Boardwalk
The Sanur Boardwalk is kilometers long and runs the length of the beach. You can use this paved walk as a beach spot scouting mission or just enjoy being by the water. It’s a great way to start the day with a light walk as the sun comes up or for daily exercise – the sea breeze helps keep it cool!

3. Relax On The Beach
Even though the beaches in Sanur may be referred to as Sanur Beach, it is actually a few beaches that make up this part of the coast. Some parts are more swimmable than others, but follow the boardwalk, find your spot and enjoy some beach time. It is a nice, relaxed beach to spend the day. Depending on where you stop, there should always be food, drinks and toilets (in the restaurants) nearby.

4. Water Sports
Like many beach destinations in Bali, you can get excited by a few different watersports here. So if just walking or lounging on the beach is not enough action for you then jet skis, windsurfing and stand up paddle boarding lessons and rentals are available.

5. The Sanur Night Market (Pasar Sindhu)
The night market in Sanur is the Pasar Sindhu Night Market, located just off Jalan Danau Tamblingan. One of the better local food markets in Bali to eat at. It is small but there are still some tasty choices. The martabak, nasi goreng and the satay are all recommended.

6. Day Trips From Sanur
Sanur is a great base for exploring further afield on mainland Bali. Ubud is just 30 minutes away, Kuta and Seminyak (for great restaurants and night life) are about the same, depending on traffic. It’s also super easy to head down to South Bali and explore some of Bali’s most dramatic coast line scenery.

7. Vist Nusa Lembongan or Nusa Penida
Sanur is a gateway to Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida. Whilst we would highly recommend staying on one of these islands, if all you can fit in is a day trip, then it would still be a great day. Fast boats leave from the beach at the bottom of Jalan Hang Tua throughout the day. Boat crossings are limited to daylight hours only.

8. Eat Some Food In Sanur
Sanur has a wide range of amazing cuisine! Whether it be local Indonesian or Balinese food or Italian pizza or pasta or gourmet french baguettes, it’s all on hand! Check out FindLokal food and restaurant vendors!

So there you have it, 8 great things to and to bucket list in Sanur!
